Madeon Live - Electric Ballroom - by Josh

Last night, me and my partners as well as some of my friends went to see a live concert with Madeon at the Electric Ballroom (image right) in Camden, London. Quite a small venue, the main arena could only hold around 1000 people, thus making it very cramped when Madeon started playing. The doors opened at 7 but Madeon didn't start until 9.45. The opening acts, were pretty good, the latter being particularly good and got the crowd warmed up with remixes of the hit 'Don't You Worry Child' by the dance supergroup Swedish House Mafia, whom Madeon had been a supporting guest at their last ever show at the Milton Keynes Bowl. When Madeon entered the stage and the lights came on behind him the crowd went wild. His first song, 'The City' had the crowd singing and dancing in an instant, with his other more well known songs like 'Icarus' and 'Finale' coming on later in the night. He also tried out 4 new songs for the first time which all proved to be extremely good, as well as playing his remixes and such as 'Raise Your Weapon' by Deadmau5, 'The Island' by Pendulum and the massively popular 'Pop Culture' which can be said to have brought Madeon to the dance music business limelight. Below are two videos my partner, James, took on his iPhone.

In addition to the dancing, there were also plenty of instances of mosh pits. With a solid two hours of dancing and moshing, we all had an amazing night, despite it being a long night traveling to and from the venue, we were all however very tired at the end of the night. In summary, incredible night, worth getting back late and being very tired the next day. It was a privilege to see Madeon for his first tour and his headlining concert in London and we all can't wait until the next opportunity to see him again.
